Our Pastors
Pastor J. O. Burns is a fourth generation preacher. Born on the predestined day of December 17, 1966, he is the grandson of Pastor Thomas Burns, the great grandson of late Pastor Eddie Burns and son of First Lady and evangelist Esther Burns Pullings. He began his discipleship and ministry in South Jamaica Queens, New York as early as God would have it, and was about his Father's business by age 19. Pastor Burns is a follower of the gospel and a devout believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pastor Burns kept his divine appointment as led by the Holy Spirit from the streets of New York to Long Beach, California, where he met and married the now First Lady Nicole Burns in May 2003. Together Pastor and Mrs. Burns lead Burns Memorial Church Of God In Christ. Pastor Burns has been blessed with three wonderful children. Sacha Burns Arnell, age 27, a son, J. O. Burns II age 8 and most recently a daughter Jewelz O. Burns.
Pastor Burns is graduate of O. M. Kelly Bible Institute and the Interdenominational Theological Seminary New York Ext. He continues to press towards the mark of the higher calling in Christ Jesus and is truly dedicated to doing the will of God.
Evangelist Nicole M. Burns is the wife of Jeffery O. Burns. As an Evangelist Burns serves the body of believers. Her mission is to equip the Saints of God for effective ministry and, at Burns Memorial Church Of God In Christ; and encourage women in the Body of Christ to walk in the Spirit and to aspire to be a Proverbs 31 woman.
As founder and CEO of Elocin you can find her hosting fashion shows, attending fashion events to keep up with the latest trends and teaching women through a consultative approach how to be successful business women; which is a true Proverbs 31 jewel.
Evangelist Burns was born in San Francisco, California, received a BS in Psychology from California State University at Long Beach, California (CSULB), and has two, wonderful children, son, Jeffery O. Burns, II and a daughter Jewelz O. Burns. Her hearts desire is to be used of God for kingdom building. As Evangelist Burns seeks to do Gods will, her focus is to be available for Gods use--all that she is and all that she has made available to God is for His Glory.
